How to Look Up and Read Class Offerings at Alfred University
Follow the steps below to look up and read class offerings.
Go to BannerWeb
Enter Secure Area, and Sign in
Click Student Services
Click Registration
Click Look up Classes
Select a registration term to view classes from
Click Submit
Scroll through different subjects to find one you are looking for courses from
Click Course Search
This will show you all of the classes in that subject for the semester you have selected
To view the details of a course click View Sections
Look Up Class Banner Web Terms:
Select: There will be a clickable box if you can register for this class/section, C - Closed, NR - Not able to Register, SR - Student Responsibility
CRN: CRN Number which can be directly entered into a worksheet when registering for classes
Subj: Course Subject
Crse: Course Number
Sec: Section Number (different sections may have a different time or instructor)
Cred: The amount of credit hours the course is
Title: Course Title
Days: Days the class is held (M-Monday, T-Tuesday, W-Wednesday, R-Thursday, F-Friday)
Time: Time the classes takes place
Cap: Capacity, how many spots are available in this class
Act: How many students are currently registered
Rem: Remaining, the amount of open spots left
Instructor: The professor of that course
Date: When the course takes place (A/B Block courses are only held for half of the semester)
Or
Click Advanced Search
Fill out as many or as few sections as you'd like to narrow down your search
Subject: Select one or more courses to look for classes from
Course Number: Enter the CRN of a class you are looking for specifically
Title: Enter the title of a course
Instructional Method: If you're looking for online or hybrid classes
Credit Range: Enter from 0-4 credit hours
Level: Undergraduate or graduate level courses
Block or Section: A-Block - First half of semester, B-Block - Second half of semester, Full term - Entire Semester
Instructor: Professor(s) of a class
Attributes: Courses that fulfill certain general education requirements
Starts/End Time: Classes at certain time of the day
Days: Days of the week a class takes place
Once you click Section Search, it will show you all of the classes that fulfill your search requirements
