Undergraduate Academic Advising

As you navigate your college experience, it is important for you to have someone to go to in order to discuss and ask questions about your academic progress. Your academic advisor is one of the first professors that you meet at Alfred University.

Your advisor will meet with you often throughout your four years, helping you to plan out courses, majors, minors, and extracurricular experiences that will help you to reach your personal goals.

Good advising is a collaboration that inspires students to reach their personal and professional potential. Students are ultimately responsible for making their own decisions and for meeting all requirements. Advisors encourage independence, assist students in exploring alternatives, and connect students to a community of resources at Alfred University.

Our Mission

As students negotiate college and pursue life goals, academic advisors nurture their independence, connect them to community, and inspire them to reach their personal and professional potential.
