An exhibition featuring the work of the late Robert C. Turner ’49, Alfred University alumnus and former professor of ceramic art in the University’s School of Art and Design, will be shown at the Black Mountain College Museum and Arts Center in Asheville, NC.
Alfred University held its 7th Annual All Employee Recognition Reception on Tuesday, May 7. The event—which honored retirees and employees for years of service—was held in Ade Hall, with light refreshments and beverages.
Examples of the travel photojournalism of the late Caroline Littell of Alfred will be on view May 2 through June 26 in the main-floor gallery of Alfred University’s Scholes Library. For a time in the late 1970s, Littell was employed at Alfred University as director of the school’s language laboratory and overseas study program. She died in Pasadena, CA, in 2015.
Nine Alfred University students joined members of the English Division faculty, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, at Rochester’s Geva Theater last week to watch “Newtown,” playwright Dan O’Brien’s dramatization of events surrounding the 2012 school shootings at the Sandy Hook Elementary School that killed 20 children and six adults.
