Alfred University respects the privacy of its users and promises not to disclose personal or business information to third parties. We will not sell your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information to anyone else.

The information provided on MyProfile is directory information provided by you and accessible only to other AU students, faculty and staff with a network username and password. You have the option of editing your personal profile and making visible to other campus members only the information that you choose.

To ensure that you are completely logged off you need to close your browser window when you are finished using the student portal.

Refer to the Policy for the Use of Computing Facilities at Alfred University for responsible use of computing resources. You must agree to and follow this policy when submitting content on My-AU.

About signing in and signing out

When you sign in, we save some of your basic preferences on your computer as cookies. Cookies are small files managed by your web browser that relate a piece of information to a specific website. We ask your browser to store cookies containing information such as your color palette choice, newsfeeds and announcement categories, personal link viewing options, etc. This allows the appearance and content of My-AU to match your preferences when you are not signed out or return to My-AU later, for a more consistent and pleasant experience.

None of this saved information is your username, password, or other directory information, and no cookie data can be used to personally identify you. All cookie data is saved in accordance with the limitations of our security policy and FERPA regulations.

You can choose to remove these cookies from your computer at any time.

If you choose to have your web browser disable the use of cookies, you will not suffer any loss of content or functionality on My-AU; the color palette choice and other settings will simply revert to the default settings when you sign out.
