Zhongbei (Daisy) Wu, Clinical Associate Professor of Music and Language at Alfred University, recently delivered a lecture and led a panel discussion at United Nations Headquarters, in New York City. Wu’s lecture, “Music of Love and Words of Harmony,” marked the 15th UN Chinese Language Day, held April 18.
Myungkoo Kang, assistant professor of ceramic engineering in Alfred University’s Inamori School of Engineering, has co-authored a paper on self-healing glasses which can repair themselves from damage caused by exposure to gamma radiation.
World-renowned economist Nadarajan “Raj” Chetty, whose research focuses on designing effective government policies which address social and economic disparities, will deliver the keynote address for Alfred University’s 2024 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 11. Commencement begins at 10 a.m. in the Galanis Family Area, McLane Center.
Alfred University Athletics successfully completed their first annual Go Saxons Day of Giving, which ran from March 19-20.
