ALFRED, NY – Alfred University celebrated its students and faculty Friday afternoon, April 19, during the annual Honors Convocation, held in Miller Theater. Among the honorees were Angie Taylor, chief diversity officer and Title IX coordinator, who received the prestigious Abigail Allen Award, and students Brian Ngatunga and Emilia Donenberg Smith, winners of the Marlin Miller Outstanding Senior Award.
A group of undergraduate engineering students from Alfred University went to Alfred-Almond Central School this week to talk to elementary school students about engineering and give a presentation on electronics.
Scholes Library is hosting an exhibition of brass rubbings – images captured on paper from brass monuments laid in the floors of medieval churches. The collection has been curated by Alfred University students enrolled in the “Bones and Stones” seminar taught by Assistant Professor of Art History Meg Bernstein, School of Art and Design. It will run through April 25.
Alfred University will hold its annual Unity Day celebration on Wednesday, April 24.
