The U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board announces that recent Alfred University graduate Chelsea McMaster has received a Fulbright U.S. Student Program award to Antigua and Barbuda for the 2024-25 academic year.

World-renowned economist Nadarajan “Raj” Chetty spoke to graduating students at Alfred University about the role education plays in creating a pathway to a better life and urged them to make the world a better place by creating opportunities for others.

Alfred University hosted a ground-breaking ceremony Thursday afternoon for a new sports complex near campus that will boost student enrollment, enhance its intercollegiate athletics offerings, and provide new recreational opportunities for the University and local communities.

Two longtime employees—Mark Lewis, College of Business dean, and Mary McAllister, corporate secretary to the University—were recognized at Thursday evening’s Board of Trustees dinner. The University’s athletics program, following the Saxon Hill Sports Complex groundbreaking ceremony held earlier in the evening, was also highlighted.
