Hardware/Software Support for Faculty/Staff

Below is a list of hardware and software ITS supports for Faculty and Staff.


ITS supports the following operating systems and software. However, if you are using a non-supported software package, we cannot guarantee an answer to your question.

In 1998 Alfred University embarked on an aggressive program to upgrade desktop computers for faculty and staff. Both Windows and Apple machines are supported. Equipment and software outside the supported standards are paid for from departmental funds.

Requests for equipment not included in the original lease agreement should be directed to the appropriate college dean.


If your printer is not working properly, you may call the Helpdesk (607-871-2222) for help with troubleshooting the problem. However, you will need to contact the manufacturer for repair and/or service.
