Following these guidelines consistently will elevate the Alfred University brand image and reinforce its values. Use them as a reference tool for applying a consistent look, feel, voice and tone for all Alfred University communications. The identity conveys a look that is academic, nurturing, spirited, engaged, confident and principled. As a foundation to keep the overall Alfred brand consistent, these rules must be followed as closely as possible.

However, they are not intended to discourage creative thinking in order to communicate successfully to varied audiences from alumni to prospective students. When you must vary from the guidelines, use discretion in language, image choice and additional design elements to maintain and support the spirit of the brand image.
