Conduct Notification of Parents
The Dean of Student Wellbeing shall notify the parents of students under the age of 21 who violate the University substance use and abuse policy and/or the student code of conduct pertaining to alcohol and drugs. The notification will occur once the imposed sanctions are final and the appeal process has been exhausted. Notification is also sent to parents of students under the age of 21 who have completed the University's amnesty program.
In student conduct cases that involve a serious threat to one's physical safety or the physical or emotional safety of others, the Dean of Student Wellbeing or designee may notify the parents of dependent students.
Also, if as a result of violating the student conduct the student is suspended or expelled, the dean may contract the parents of dependent students.
