Rebecca Welch, outreach coordinator of visiting assistant professor in Alfred University’s Inamori School of Engineering, and alumna Elizabeth Tsekrekas ’19, PhD ’24, have been honored by the American Ceramic Society (ACerS) for their outreach work.
Patrick Lynch, a glass engineering science major at Alfred University, has been named winner of the 2024 Alfred R. Cooper Young Scholars Award, given by the Glass and Optical Materials Division of the American Ceramic Society (ACerS).
Brian Sullivan, Dean of Libraries at Alfred University, recently received the 2024 Mentor Award from the State University of New York Librarians Association. The award honors and encourages the efforts and dedication of individuals in the library field who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the mentoring of members of SUNYLA.
Jean Cardinale, longtime professor of biology at Alfred University, who recently led efforts to create pathways for students to earn multidisciplinary double majors, has been appointed the University’s first-ever associate provost of Curriculum, Learning Assessment, and Accreditation.
