Our Mission Statement
The Mission of the Office of Public Safety at Alfred University is to provide a safe and secure environment to the students, faculty, staff and visitors of Alfred University. The office will serve, guide and protect the Alfred University Community and visitors to out campus. The Office of Public Safety is assigned the primary responsibility of provided expertise and support services to enhance the institution's educational mission.
All members of the Office of Public Safety are expected to actively participate in the achievement of these goals. Each member must posses the willingness and ability to work cooperatively with one another, as well as the campus community at large. The Office of Public Safety is also expected to work closely and effectively with a culturally and socially diverse and rich campus community where others values are encouraged to be shared, accepted and appreciated.
The Chief of Public Safety embraces an open door policy in Public Safety. Every member of the Public Safety staff is readily available to meet with any member of the University community to discuss a problem or concern they may have, or to simply serve as an advisor on campus issues related to safety on campus. Comments and suggestions may be submitted to the Chief of Public Safety.
