Alfred Summer Kickstart 2023

It all starts with Orientation!

Alfred Kickstart is our way of orienting you to the Alfred University!  Attendance at one of the scheduled sessions in July is mandatory. If you live outside of a 400-mile radius and are not in position to travel by plane, we will work with you on an alternate opportunity for participation. We’re excited to meet you!

Students will have the opportunity to register for an Alfred Kickstart once they have submitted their deposit. Students will receive their class schedule at orientation and will have an opportunity to ask questions or make changes as necessary.

Student family supports (up to two individuals) are welcome to join their student for an Alfred Kickstart session and there will be planned activities for them, but attendance is not mandatory.

Submit Financial Responsibility Form

For us to get you registered for your Fall 2023 classes, there is one step we need you to take care of now. We need to have a Financial Responsibility Form completed. This form is an electronic signature that accepts financial responsibility for the coursework you will receive at Alfred University.

Sign-in on BannerWeb using your Student ID (A00XXXXXX). Once signed in, go to the "Student Services" tab and select "Look Up Classes." Clicking this link will prompt the Financial Responsibility Form to pop up. Once that is complete, you'll be all set to register! Questions about the form or process? If you’re like most new students, you’re not sure what to expect. You’re probably excited about the quality of the educational experience here, about campus and about the prospect of making friends for life. At the same time, you’re probably a little apprehensive about this leap into a whole new community and all the changes that brings.

Orientation Schedule

Alfred Kickstart will help prepare you for everything Alfred University has to offer both in and out of the classroom. You'll get to know your classmates, professors and the staff and become more familiar with the University. You will receive your class schedule and other important information about all the necessary steps you need to take before arriving on campus in the Fall.

Be sure to check your Alfred University email account and this website on a regular basis for more information about our Alfred Kickstart program. In the meantime – stay safe, stay well and get excited Saxons! Again, please note Alfred University students are required to attend one of our Alfred Kickstart sessions.

  • Thursday, July 20 (extended Arts session for those interested in art and performing arts)
