Email Signature

To create your Alfred University email signature please refer to the following instructions.

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook
  2. Click File
  3. Click Options

    Click Options in File
  4. Click Mail
  5. Click Stationary and Fonts

    In Outlook Options, click Stationary and Fonts in the Mail menu
  6. Within the E-mail Signature tab click New
  7. Name the signature
  8. Click OK.

    Click Ok after typing the name of your new signature
  9. Create the signature within the main window
  10. Duplicate settings below replacing with your own account information
  11. Choose defaults for your email account and named signature.
  12. Copy & Paste the following into the signature window and modify to reflect your information.


    First Lastname
    Job Title

    <insert image>

    P   607-871-xxxx
    F   607-871-xxxx

    Alfred University
    1 Saxon Drive
    Alfred, NY 14802


  13. Remove <insert image> and insert your picture.

    Click Insert Picture in the Edit signature menu
  14. Choose Picture
  15. Click Insert
  16. Click Save
  17. Click OK

    Click Save and then Ok to save your new signature
  18. Click OK to exit the Outlook Options. Signature creation is complete.

    Complete Email Signature Process by clicking Ok
