ITS Software Availability
Information Technology Services offers software installation and troubleshooting for the software listed below.
Software Available on Student Computers and AU-Owned Computers
- SOLIDWORKS Student Engineering Kit
- MatLab
- Maple
- Minitab
- Mathematica
- Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Students, faculty, and staff can access Microsoft Office anywhere they have an internet connection by logging into Microsoft 365 Portal with their username and password.
- OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more are available through most web browsers. There are also mobile apps available for these programs as well; try them out on your cell phone or tablet.

Software Available Only on AU-Owned Computers
- Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Abobe Creative Cloud (limited licenses available)
- IBM SPSS
- ArcGIS
Software Available Only on Student Computers
- SpectrumU (TV Streaming)
- Autodesk Suite for Labs and Students
- Click "Get Started" and select "student" and enter your date of birth.
- Enter your name and Alfred email
- Fill out the forms as instructed, set your country to "United States" and select "Alfred University" as your institution.
- After the forms are completed you will be asked to confirm your email, after doing so you will be able to install any or all of the software listed on the page.
- Clicking the "Install" button under any of the listed software will download a file for you to run that will install the program.
